Welcome to my actual website, it’s a very strange feeling having one.

My name is Fergus Dennehy and I’m currently living in my hometown of Tralee in County Kerry, all the ways down in the South West of Ireland.

At the moment in life, I’m working as a free lancing journalist and I’m hoping that this site will be a place where I publish a whole host of different articles, all in the hope of building an online profile of work for future employment.

So, if any sort of paper would like to hire me, please do get in contact, I’d be very appreciative.

My EMAIL is fergusdennehy@gmail.com if you’d like to ask me anything, or indeed if you have any news stories/cool items that you’d like me to share 🙂

I recently spent close to ten months interning for an local online (click here for the list of my 550 articles) paper here in town. I’d love to further my experience in the journalism world in either an online or print setting.

I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors of Education (Honours) in Primary Teaching from Mary Immaculate College and I have been employed as a substitute teacher in schools on many occasions.

I’ll try to keep this short and simple really, because we all probably (hopefully) have much better things to do with our time than to read this.

I’m a fairly competent and aspiring photographer, childrens writer (published with Poolbeg & RTÉ) qualified primary teacher and hopefully someday (fingers crossed!) a semi-successful human being.

Here on my website, you’ll find all the local and national news articles that I get around to writing, the photos that I take, short stories that I write and basically, whatever else I might think up of along the way.

Remember, tea can be the solution to most simple worries in life, go on…make yourself a cup.

If you would like to know more about me, then please don’t hesitate to contact me through my ‘contact me’ page, I do love getting emails!

You can check out my most up to date CV here.

Have a great day!

Fergus 🙂

Any ideas for funding?? just read the piece you wrote for november public meeting , need to push this on the people of Tralee it could be someones mother , brother may need this service and would love to say we have it up and running , Julie O Sullivan

    • Hey Julie,

First off, a massive thanks for the message and for reading my article, it’s much appreciated 🙂

I’ve definitely got a few ideas that could help you and the group with funding.

You could hold a fundraising coffee morning the ‘House’ restaurant (next to the Abbey Inn), they’ve hosted such events before and they’ve been a success 🙂 Next up, you could do a table quiz in let’s say Na Gaeil clubhouse (always a popular spot) and with the good cause that you are promoting, that’d hopefully draw a good crowd 🙂

My email is fergusdennehy@gmail.com if you want to ask anything else 🙂

      Have a great day!
